STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY TUITION / LIGHTING WORKSHOPS

Do you want to understand your camera, learn how to use studio lights, work with modesl, bring ideas and concepts to workable shots, or all of the above? Then a training workshop is probably what you are looking for.

As a qualified training professional (CIPD) and author and contributor to many erotic and nude photographic books, John knows how to make the technical brain friendly. John also holds a Fellowship (FRPS) disctinction with the Royal Photographic Society and a member of the Guild of Erotic Artists and the Association of Erotic Artists. If you want to learn how to use studio lighting then John is best placed to help you. John offers two types of training event:

  • a bespoke 1-2-1 session covering your exact needs, contact John direct for more information about this service and benefit from individual tuition, training and guidance on what ever you want to cover. A full day costs £750

All tuition and training sessions offer:

  • A chance to develop your style with John's technical guidance and tuition
  • Training on how to use lights. Starting with one light. Explore the effects that reflectors, flags, bounces, grids and barn doors have on light
  • Different lighting setups for different effects; soft and hard light
  • Experiment with studio flash and continuous lighting; tungsten and LED
  • How to develop ideas, concepts and creativity
  • Learn how to develop an idea from concept to a final shot
  • Working with a model, and how to get the best from your shoot
  • The use of Elinchrom, Broncolor and ARRI studio kit, inc. ringflash, large lightbanks, softboxes, soft eggbox grids, fresnel spots, snoots and so on
  • The use of a Nikon D3 or D7000 and Nikon pro lenses if required
  • Shoot a professional model in a purpose built studio environment
  • Signed model release for all images if required
  • John arranges the small group workshops to get the best mix of delegates, so you won't feel out of your depth or waiting for the others to catch up
  • A fun, informal and relaxed rewarding workshop where your objectives and results are our prime goal
  • Snacks and beverages throughout the day and a full sit-down lunch. Learning on an empty stomach is no fun; many delegates say lunch was the highlight of the day!
